LS TCM Ling ShuCase study · Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic

A clinic website rebuilt to be found, trusted and quoted

LS TCM had a good-looking site with very little on it. We kept the theme, the photography and the clinic's own voice, and rebuilt everything underneath: the words, the structure, the compliance and the signals Google and AI assistants use to decide who to recommend.

Seen in ChatGPT

Recommended by ChatGPT, eleven days on

On 5 October 2026 we asked ChatGPT two questions a woman in Kuala Lumpur might ask when looking for TCM care, and recorded the screen from start to finish. LS TCM was recommended in both answers, with ChatGPT citing the clinic's own website.

How long it took

Eleven days after we measured the old website on 24 September 2026, with the rebuilt site live and its first GEO content published.

Asked ChatGPT

“best TCM for pcos in kuala lumpur”

LS TCM was shortlisted as “very specifically PCOS-focused”, and in its final pick ChatGPT named LS TCM as one of the two clinics it would start with for PCOS.

Asked ChatGPT

“top TCM for women health in kuala lumpur”

LS TCM ranked #2, “best if your main issue is hormonal/menstrual health”. In ChatGPT's ranking by concern, LS TCM was the choice for PCOS and irregular periods, hormonal balance and menopause.

Why we asked in a private, signed-out window

ChatGPT shapes its answers around the person asking. Saved memory, past conversations and account preferences can all tilt a recommendation, including towards a business someone has asked about before. So we asked in an incognito browser window, signed out of ChatGPT, with no history and nothing to go on but the question. It is the closest we can get to what a new customer sees the first time they ask.

This is one recording, on the date shown. AI answers vary between sessions and change over time, and no one can guarantee them. The full screen recording is linked above so you can judge the question and the answer for yourself.

What changed

Before and after, page by page

From a brand name to a clear answer

The old home page led with "LS TCM Malaysia" as its main heading and described the clinic as serving "Ampang & Cheras". The new one says what the clinic is and exactly where, in the first line a patient or a search engine reads.

New LS TCM home page
AfterService, place and the clinic's real difference in one heading, with a WhatsApp button beside it.
New service cards
AfterEach card now leads to a full page on that condition.

Location that matches reality

Taman Pertama, one minute from the MRT exit. Consistent name, address and phone on every page.

Answer first

Headings and opening sentences state the answer plainly, which is the part Google snippets and AI assistants lift.

Kept what worked

Same theme, same photographs, same colours. Patients who know the clinic will recognise it.

The GEO and SEO upgrades

What changed, and why it matters

Search descriptions

Before Outcome claims such as "see how fast you heal"

After Plain descriptions of the service, place and hours

The old lines were barred by Act 775 s.33. The new ones can stay live safely and still earn the click.

Page headings

Before Brand name on the home page, "Dr" on About, two pages with no main heading

After One clear heading per page naming the service and Cheras

Headings are among the strongest on-page signals for what a page is about.

Depth

Before 86 to 740 words per page, 9 pages

After About 1,000 words on each main page, 28 pages

More specific searches to match, and enough substance for AI tools to trust and cite.

Answers

Before None. No FAQ, Knowledge Centre or blog

After About 170 answered questions, 8 articles, a 48-post plan

AI assistants recommend sources that answer the question directly.

Internal links

Before Service cards with no onward links

After Answers, cards and related pages link to the right treatment page

Readers reach a booking page, and search engines see which page is the main one for each topic.

Local signals

Before "Within 10km of Ampang, Cheras & KL"

After Taman Pertama, MRT exit, landmark, map, hours, four languages

Consistent, specific location detail supports the map pack and "near me" searches.

Trust signals

Before One practitioner introduced, no registration numbers

After Both practitioners with registration numbers; SSM number in the footer

For a health business, visible credentials count for both Google and patients.

Structured data

Before Organization and LocalBusiness

After MedicalClinic and a profile for each practitioner

Keeps the clinic's details consistent wherever they are read. Useful, but not a ranking shortcut.

Compliance

Before "Dr" title, outcome claims, comparisons with other clinics

After Checked line by line against Act 775 and the T&CM Council code

Protects the clinic from fines of up to RM30,000 and keeps its registration safe.

How we worked

The clinic reviewed every line

We sent the clinic a spreadsheet of every piece of text on the new site, 1,096 lines in total. They went through the page text line by line, and we applied each correction across the whole site. Where a requested line would have promised a medical outcome, we explained why and proposed wording that says the same thing safely.

“We had no idea people were asking AI where to find a TCM clinic in Cheras, let alone that we were not the answer. The audit showed us exactly which questions we were invisible for, and it was uncomfortable reading in the most useful way. What convinced me was that Geo One showed us the gaps first, honestly, before asking us to commit to anything.”

Where it stands

Launched. Now the content, then the measuring.

  1. Website rebuilt and live

    Done

28 pages, the Knowledge Centre and the blog are live on lstcm.com.my.

  2. GEO blog content

    In progress

Publishing the first eight articles, then four posts a month on the 48-post plan, with Chinese versions where the topic calls for one.

  3. A page per question

    Next

Give each of the 36 Knowledge Centre questions its own page, so an AI assistant can cite the exact answer, not just the topic page.

  4. Google Business Profile

    Next

A 31-shot photo list is ready: the shopfront, the walk from the MRT, treatment rooms, both practitioners.

  5. Measure against baselines

    Next

Search Console impressions, Google Business calls and direction requests, WhatsApp clicks, and how AI assistants answer common questions about the clinic.

  6. Report at 90 days

    Next

Compare against those baselines and add the results to this case study.

This case study will be updated with dated results. No ranking or visibility outcome is claimed yet.
