Top AI visibility agencies in Kuala Lumpur: what the first 90 days should look like
Co-Founder, Geo One

If you're comparing top AI visibility agencies in Kuala Lumpur, stop asking what they promise and start asking what they'll do in the first 90 days. A serious one checks whether AI crawlers can reach your website at all, fixes the basic facts about your business so every source agrees, publishes content that answers the exact questions your buyers type, and then measures your mentions across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity separately. Anything that skips step one is guesswork. This piece is written for professional services firms in Kuala Lumpur: law and accounting practices, clinics, dental and veterinary surgeries, and consultants.
What does "AI visibility" mean?
AI visibility means how often, and how accurately, an AI assistant names your business when someone asks it a buying question. Generative engine optimisation (GEO) is the work of improving that. Answer engine optimisation (AEO) is the closely related work of structuring your pages so an assistant can lift a clean, correct answer straight out of them.
Neither is the same as your Google ranking, though the two are linked. Google has published guidance stating there is no separate AEO-only schema trick or magic file that buys placement in AI Overviews. Overlap between AI Overview citations and top organic results is strong, so sound technical and content foundations still do most of the heavy lifting. Any agency selling you an AI-only shortcut is selling something Google has already said doesn't exist.
Week one: can AI crawlers reach your site?
This is the check almost nobody runs, and it can quietly cancel everything else. AI systems read your website using named crawlers: GPTBot for OpenAI, ClaudeBot for Anthropic, CCBot for Common Crawl. If those are blocked, your firm doesn't appear, no matter how good the content is.
Cloudflare has replaced its single AI-bot toggle with three separate controls covering Search, Agent and Training crawlers. Cloudflare has also stated that from 15 September 2026, new domains and existing free-tier accounts will have Training and Agent crawlers blocked by default on pages that carry ads, while Search crawlers stay allowed. GPTBot, ClaudeBot and CCBot sit in the blocked group under that policy.
Plenty of Malaysian SME websites sit on a Cloudflare free plan, set up years ago by a web developer who's since moved on. Nobody in the firm has touched a crawler setting. That's a plumbing problem, not a marketing problem, and it needs a plumbing fix first.
When you speak to an agency, ask a direct question: what will you check in week one, and will you show me my robots.txt and CDN crawler settings before you invoice me for content? If the answer is a content calendar, you've learned something.
Weeks two to four: do your facts agree with each other?
AI assistants build a picture of your business from many sources, then repeat what they're most confident about. If your firm's name is spelled one way on your SSM registration, another on Google Business Profile, and a third on a directory listing from 2019, the model has no clear entity to trust. An entity is the machine's working idea of "this specific business", distinct from every other business with a similar name.
For a KL professional services firm, the usual mess looks like this: two office addresses, one of them the old unit; a partner who left three years ago still listed as the contact; practice areas described differently on the website, the directory profile and LinkedIn; opening hours that don't match. Nothing here is dramatic. Together it's enough for an assistant to hedge and name a competitor instead.
Fixing it is unglamorous: one canonical description, one address format, consistent service names, structured data on the website (code that labels your business details so machines read them without guessing), and the same facts pushed to every profile you control. This is the part clients underestimate and the part that moves the needle.
Month two onwards: does your content answer real buyer questions?
Assistants quote content that answers a question directly and shows who's behind it. That means pages built around what a buyer actually types, in plain language, with the answer in the first two sentences.
For an accounting firm in KL, that might be a page answering what a company needs to prepare before an SST filing, or how a small business handles EA forms in January. For a clinic, it's the specific procedure question, priced or scoped honestly. Not a 2,000-word essay. A clear answer, then the detail.
There's a shortcut being sold in this market that you should refuse. Google's spam policies now explicitly cover attempts to manipulate generative AI responses in Search, and scaled AI content together with artificial citation signals carries the same demotion risk as link spam. If someone offers to "get you mentioned everywhere" fast, ask exactly where and how, then decline.
Ongoing: are you measuring all four engines separately?
This is where most reporting falls short. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity each behave like their own ecosystem. A screenshot of one good ChatGPT answer tells you almost nothing about your position in the others.
What you want is a tracked list of buyer prompts, checked regularly across all four assistants, showing whether you were named, how you were described, and who was named instead. That last column matters most. Knowing which firm the assistant recommends when a buyer asks for a corporate lawyer in KL tells you what to fix.
Geo One monitors client visibility daily across those four assistants. You can see how the scanning works on our AI visibility scanner page, and the step-by-step process on our methodology page.
What a good agency won't promise you
Nobody can guarantee that an AI assistant will recommend you. The models change without notice. What an agency can commit to is the work: the crawler check, the entity fixes, the schema, the content, the citation building, and honest weekly reporting on which prompts moved and which didn't.
We'll also say what we don't do. Geo One doesn't build back-office automation or internal systems. We work on AI visibility, and that's it.
Where Geo One fits
Geo One is a GEO and AEO agency based in Kuala Lumpur, registered as GEO ONE AI SOLUTION (SSM 202603214063, LA0092283-P) and founded in 2026. We serve Malaysian SMEs of 2 to 50 staff and solo professionals, and the work is delivered by our own AI agents that scan, fix and report weekly. Services run from RM500 to RM2,000 a month, listed on our pricing page.
On results, we'll give you the one number we have rather than a story. Omega Pets, a pet care brand in Selangor, moved from an AI visibility score of 0 to 30 between 8 August and 22 August 2026. That's one client over two weeks. It isn't a forecast for yours, and we won't pretend it is. More detail sits on our results page.
Start with the check, not the contract
Before you sign anything with any agency, find out whether AI assistants can see your site and what they currently say about your firm. If the answer is nothing, you at least know where the problem starts.
Run a free scan at geoone.my, or send us the question you'd most want a client to ask ChatGPT and we'll tell you who it names today.
